Nino has spent a lot of 2024 exploring different regions in Japan. Being one of his favorite countries, he loves bonding and singing for his kababayans in the Land of the Rising Sun. He visited the cities of Tokyo, Yokohama, Saitama, Gunma, Kumamoto, and Oita, where he proudly shared his passion for music.
Nino is looking forward to seeing even more of beautiful Japan in the future.
Nino Alejandro is nominated for an ALIW Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Anthony, in Ang Huling El Bimbo: The Musical. This is his second nomination for this category.
Nino Alejandro adds another acting feather to his cap as he joins the cast of the hit teleserye “Abot Kamay Na Pangarap” as Attorney Jun, family lawyer for the Tanyag family. Nino says it’s a dream come true for him to be part of such an amazing show, with such a stellar cast.
“Abot Kamay Na Pangarap” airs Monday to Saturday at 2:30PM on GMA.
Nino Alejandro makes his international acting debut on the hit TV drama, “Almost Paradise” on Amazon FreeVee and Amazon Prime. He plays the role of Joshua Bautista, a shady businessman suspected of murder.
“Doing scenes with the one and only Christian Kane (who plays Alex Walker, the main character) brought out the best in me. I learned a lot watching him,” said Nino.
Nino Alejandro (Anthony), along with fellow cast members of “Ang Huling El Bimbo: The Musical” perform the title track of the hit musical on the popular noontime show, It’s Showtime, on ABS-CBN.
Nino Alejandro lands the coveted role of Anthony, in the 2023 run of “Ang Huling El Bimbo: The Musical”, directed by Dexter Santos, with book by Dingdong Novenario, and presented by Newport World Resorts. The 60 show run will be from April 2023 til July 2023 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.
Nino Alejandro wins an ALIW Award for the Best Performer in Hotels, Bars, & Lounges category for his concert at the Hippodrome Lounge/Winford Casino Manila. He was also nominated for Best Crossover Performer. This is Nino’s first ALIW win. The awards night took place at The Manila Hotel.
After two years where we were locked indoors due to the pandemic, the world slowly reopened to some semblance of normalcy, and Nino Alejandro hit the road for a series of shows and performances to SRO crowds in the U.S.
Among the stops were New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Phoenix. Nino expressed his gratitude to each city about being so thankful to be performing for live audiences again.
Last March 2020, Atlantis Theatrical was set to open the curtain on Bet Hatikva and The Band’s Visit. A beautiful story about human connection and commonality between even the most unlikely of cultures. The Band’s Tale is the story of an Egyptian Police Band that gets stranded in a tiny Israeli town and must spend the night, getting to know and connect with the locals in the process. The Tony award-winning musical features music by David Yazbek and book by Itamar Moses based on a 2007 Israeli film of the same name. The Atlantis production was under the direction of Bobby Garcia.
“Words can’t express how happy I was to join this cast and this beautiful show,” Nino recalls. “The music is exceptional and the story is so poignant. Especially now, when we tend to feel divided and apart. It reminds us that we are all connected.”
In 2019, Nino took a bold new course in both his music and recording career and signed a deal with Warner Music Philippines. Though very thankful for his time with Star Music, Nino felt it was time to grow forward and expand his own music while producing new cutting edge music for the artists of Rebel Records Philippines.
“I felt Warner was a perfect fit for me,” Nino shares. “I really look forward to working with their team who value unique and innovative music and exciting new artists. I look forward to what we can do together.”
